Product Description

Hibiscus syriacus 'Blue Bird
Hibiscus syriacus 'Oisaeu Bleau'

FEATURES

Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit!

We are so pleased to be offering and growing this gorgeous variety which many consider to be the best single blue-flowered Rose of Sharon on the market. Loaded with an abundance of violet-blue flowers with ruby-red centers, Blue Bird is ideal as a hedge, foundation or specimen planting. One of its most exciting attributes is its long bloom time from mid-summer to frost which occurs after many other plantings have finished blooming for the season. Grows 6-8' tall and 6' wide. Full to parital sun. This variety was introduced in 1958 and is still sought after and popular amongst growers and in 2028 will be 70 years old. We have read grafted plants have improved vigor than own root plants. We haven't seen a difference so far.
