Current Availability

Availability at Pritchett's Small Pets changes throughout the year. Poultry, Coturnix quail, chicks, hatching eggs, breeder-quality prospects, and other farm products depend on what our animals are producing and what our breeding programs need at the time.

Why Availability Changes

  • Seasonal changes in laying and fertility
  • Hatch results and the number of chicks retained for evaluation
  • The number of eggs required for our own breeding projects
  • Weather and safe shipping conditions
  • Age, sex, size, variety, and quality of the animals currently available

We do not promise an animal, chick, or hatching egg simply because a breed is listed on our website. A breed can be part of our program without being available for sale at that moment.

How to Check

Current product listings are the best starting point. If you are looking for a particular breed, variety, age, sex, quantity, or project that is not listed, contact us and ask about current or expected availability.

Breeding Program Comes First

Some animals are retained because they are important to the next generation of a project. We may also reduce or stop sales temporarily when we need to build breeder numbers, evaluate young stock, improve a trait, protect genetic diversity, or recover from a seasonal decline in production.

We would rather say "not available" than sell animals or eggs that should remain in the breeding program.
