TERMS OF SERVICE

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE:

72 Hour Heat Pack Needed for Live Arrival Guarantee in temps below 40°F. Mealworms are alright without heat packs due to our packaging. All others require a heat pack.

Only one 72 Hour Heat Pack is needed to keep your live feeders or pets warm during transit in the cooler months. These heat packs are specially engineered to emit a steady temperature of 100°F over a prolonged period of time without the risk of overheating. Please order the 72 Hour Heat Pack if your destination temperature / wind chill LOW is under 40°F for safety AND to ensure Live Arrival. If your insects don't make it and you didn't order one, your Live Arrival Guarantee will be void.

CUSTOM PRODUCT ORDERS:

 
Custom product orders may not be returned to us because they were made to the specifications of the purchaseror order. This includes items made to order using products we must purchase to make your order, such as Mealworm Breeding Kits as the drawer organizers have been modified and can't be returned to the store.

RETURNS:
Returns must be filed according to our returns page. Any refunds issued will be for the cost of the item only and not for shipping and handling charges. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Items returned must be in proper shipping containers and free of damage. All returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll make the decision within 10 days and notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Our products are freshly packed at the time of shipment. All of our products contain a 10% over count to alleviate any dead on arrival (DOA) while in transit.

Pritchett's Small Pets is not responsible for carrier delays or problems. Claims due to carrier delays must be handled through the carrier. Holidays and extreme weather conditions do affect our shipping procedure.

If your order arrives in poor condition, please call within 24 hours and we will replace the loss; we just ask that you pay for shipping charges. This does not apply to crickets unless they are shipped via UPS (not USPS).


SHIPPING

Note: Orders placed near the holidays are postponed until the following Monday after the holiday has passed to ensure packages are not misplaced in the mail. We have had many packages lost and never found when shipping within the week of the holidays. 

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.


USPS Priority Mail
(No time guarantee)

Delivered Monday - Saturday. No Sunday deliveries!

Orders are shipped out Monday - Thursday by 2pm EST.

With the United States Postal Service  Priority Mail usually takes 2-3 days in most cases. However it can take up to 5 days depending on the time of the year. We recommend using UPS or FedEx for deliveries in December as the USPS is usually late or losing packages. When ordering live deliveries during december always use UPS or FedEx!

UPS Ground, Next Day, & 2nd Day

Delivered Monday - Friday Only!

2nd day orders are shipped out Monday - Wednesday to avoid shipments sitting in the UPS sorting facilities over the weekend.

Next Day orders are shipped out Monday - Thursday (Only if Placed before 10:00am EST on Thursday)

South Carolina residents will receive their UPS Ground order in 1 day for the upstate, or 2 days for the rest of SC.

FedEx

Delivered Monday - Friday Only!

2nd day orders are shipped out Monday - Wednesday to avoid shipments sitting in the FedEx sorting facilities over the weekend.

Next Day orders are shipped out Monday - Thursday (Only if Placed before 10:00am EST on Thursday)
