About This Variety

This mint came into our lives when my grandparents and I decided to build a greenhouse around the year of 2007. I was doing some research for plants that I wanted us to offer when I came across a lady living in Liberty, SC that grew plants in her backyard for profit. She told me about a mint she had that smelled like a freshly opened pack of juicy fruit gum.

I had only knew about peppermint and spearmint, so we had to visit her to see for ourselves. On arrival she had a potted mint in her hand and she said smell this and tell me what you think. Instantly I was taken back to my childhood of buying large bulk packs of Juicy Fruit Gum at the store and opening them to smell the wrapper as that piece of gums flavor danced around my tastebuds.

I couldn't believe it. How could a plant smell like that. I had to have one.

So she showed me a few other mints and I left with a lot of starter plants.
