Loading... Please wait...Easter Egger Survey is described from both a hatchery and breeder point of view. The quick stats make the breed easy to compare, while the notes below explain the traits that matter after the chick grows up and eventually becomes part of a breeding flock.
We as chicken enthusiasts wondered what people around the country thought about Easter Eggers. Preferably the Easter Eggers commonly sold by all of the various hatcheries as Ameraucanas or Araucanas. We are aware their are other Easter Eggers out there in the hobby based off the Cream Legbar, Isbar (Martin Silverudds Blue), and Marans.
We wanted our survey to stay strictly based on Hatchery Type Easter Eggers because they have been the most common and have been around longer than the recent projects that have been created. The survey ran 2 months between Mid July to Mid September 2018. The results are what we assumed they would be.
You will get our results as an instant download when you purchase the results. The last question of the survey contained personal information including names and email addresses of participants interested in these results. Those have been omitted to protect them and to stop email spammers from harrassing them.
Breed descriptions are a guide to the line, not a promise that every individual will mature identically. Egg production, mature size, temperament, color and breeding performance are influenced by genetics, age, season, nutrition and management.
