Choose a feeder size appropriate for the animal being fed. Live insects are best used as part of a varied, species-appropriate diet, and feeder care after delivery affects their condition just as much as how they were raised before shipping.

Our mealworms are raised and bred here at our farm. We work with our mealworm farm on a daily basis. Our mealworms receive a very special diet that contains the nutrients and protein that your animal needs that will be consuming them.

Mealworms should be kept under refrigeration between 42 and 50 degrees, where they become dormant and stay in perfect condition for 30 - 45 days. Mealworms come in various sizes for your convenience (mini, small, medium, large, or mixed). We recommend medium - large for most uses.

Prices are the same for all sizes. This special mealworm package will arrive to you within 2-3 days via Priority Mail. We came up with this idea in Fall 2014 & Winter 2015.

1000 Lively mealworms can safely ship inside of a small usps flat rate box. Sometimes we use an egg flat or crumpled paper to keep the package sturdy and from crushing under pressure which isn't usually required since we ship as a fragile package. Fragile packages get handled differently with the USPS.

We always mark these shipments Fragile at the post office or when printing our labels online. If we feel that the mealworms will make it safely with some bedding we will added it to give them food.
