Live Animal Purchase Policy

Live Animal Purchase Policy

Purchasing a live animal carries responsibilities that do not apply to ordinary merchandise. Please be prepared with appropriate housing, feed, water, temperature control, transportation, and species-specific care before the animal is received.

Buyer Responsibility

The buyer is responsible for confirming that the animal is suitable for their setup and that local rules allow them to keep it. We cannot control care, housing, disease exposure, predators, accidents, weather, or management after the animal leaves our custody.

Condition at Transfer

Please inspect local-pickup animals at the time of transfer. Questions about obvious condition, sex when represented as sexed, variety, quantity, or other visible concerns should be raised before leaving whenever practical.

Biosecurity After Purchase

New poultry should be managed in a way that protects both the new animals and the buyer's existing flock. Quarantine practices are the buyer's responsibility.

No Farm Access Included

A live-animal purchase does not include entry to breeder pens or animal areas. Our no-tour biosecurity policy applies before, during, and after a sale.

Availability & Breeder Retention

We may retain animals needed for our breeding programs, even if similar animals were previously offered for sale.
