Our Poultry Breeds & Breeding Programs

Our poultry work includes established breeds, long-maintained family lines, autosexing birds, bantam projects, egg-color projects, and Coturnix quail selected for practical production traits.

Current Areas of Interest

Among the breeds and projects represented on our farm are Rhodebars, 55 Flowery, Cream Legbars, Welbars, Easter Eggers, Ameraucanas, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Rhode Island Whites, Naked Necks, Olive Eggers, several bantam projects, and Coturnix quail.

Programs Change Over Time

A breed being part of our farm does not mean every variety, age, sex, or generation is available for sale. Some groups may be expanding, rebuilding, being evaluated, or temporarily closed while we retain enough offspring for the next breeding season.

What We Select For

Selection depends on the specific project. We may evaluate breed type, size, vigor, fertility, hatchability, temperament, production, egg color, feather color and pattern, autosexing accuracy, and how consistently desirable traits are passed to offspring.
